High density tape storage

Kevin Kline (@kekline) recently twitted about IBM research developing magnetic tape storage to store 30Gb per square inch (spot the americans). That means you can get 35TB on a single tape drive – and they are researching getting 100Gb per square inch. see – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2w-pzMjpx0
